Terms of Service Natural Dyeing Workshops
Welcome, and thank you for joining one of our Natural Dyeing Workshops.
Our workshops are designed to offer a relaxed, creative and inspiring experience using botanical dyes, natural fibres and traditional techniques. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before attending.
1. Registration and Acceptance
Registration is confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit or full workshop fee.
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
2. Personal Responsibility and Health
Participants attend the workshop voluntarily and are expected to exercise reasonable care and follow all safety instructions provided by the workshop instructor.
Our workshops use natural materials including plants, flowers, leaves, berries, bark, earth pigments and mordants such as vinegar and alum. While these materials are carefully selected, allergic reactions, skin irritation or respiratory sensitivities cannot be entirely ruled out.
Participants are responsible for informing themselves of any allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions before attending the workshop.
The organiser accepts no responsibility for reactions resulting from individual allergies or sensitivities, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
3. Working with Heat
Natural dyeing involves the use of gas stoves, electric hot plates, hot equipment and boiling liquids.
Participants agree to:

follow all safety instructions provided during the workshop;

exercise appropriate care around open flames and heated equipment;

handle hot pots, utensils and liquids with caution.
Participants who fail to follow safety instructions may be asked to stop using workshop equipment or, if necessary, leave the workshop without refund if their behaviour presents a safety risk.
4. Indoor and Outdoor Activities
Workshops may take place both indoors and outdoors.
Outdoor areas may include uneven ground, steps, wet surfaces, roots, cables or other natural hazards. Participants are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and sturdy footwear appropriate for the environment and weather conditions.
5. Clothing and Personal Belongings
Natural dyes can permanently stain fabrics and other materials.
Participants are strongly encouraged to wear clothing suitable for creative work.
The organiser cannot accept responsibility for stains, burns, damage or loss affecting clothing, footwear, jewellery, electronic devices or other personal belongings brought to the workshop.
6. Natural Variations
Natural dyeing is an artisanal process.
Colour results are influenced by many factors, including fibre type, water composition, temperature, seasonal plant variations and individual techniques.
As every piece is unique, colours and patterns may differ from workshop samples or photographs. No guarantee can be given regarding specific shades, colour fastness or repeatability of results.
7. Workshop Information and Educational Materials
Recipes, techniques, written materials and demonstrations are provided for educational purposes and are believed to be accurate at the time of teaching.
The organiser cannot guarantee that identical results will be achieved outside the workshop.
Workshop materials, recipes and teaching content remain the intellectual property of the organiser and are intended for personal use only. They may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or used for commercial teaching without prior written permission.
8. Children
Children may participate only when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.
The accompanying adult remains fully responsible for the child's supervision throughout the workshop.
Children must never be left unattended near cooking equipment, hot liquids, open flames or swimming pool and outdoor areas.
9. Photography
Photographs or short videos may occasionally be taken during workshops for use on our website, newsletters or social media.
If you prefer not to appear in photographs, please let us know before the workshop begins, and we will gladly respect your wishes.
10. Cancellations
The workshop deposit is non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible.
Where possible, bookings may be transferred to another participant with prior agreement.
If the organiser must cancel or reschedule a workshop due to illness, severe weather or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, participants will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund of any fees paid.
The organiser cannot reimburse travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses.
11. Force Majeure
The organiser shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or changes resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, illness, power failures or other unforeseen circumstances.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the organiser's liability for property damage or financial loss is limited to cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in the country in which the workshop takes place.
